I Hate Running in Winter, But I’m Starting an Ealing Run Club Anyway! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβ„οΈ

Running in the cold is like trying to wrestle with a polar bear in a snowstorm. Too many layers, a body that’s sweltering and a face that’s frostbitten. I enjoy running, but running in winter is a different story. It’s not something I would choose to do unless there’s a promise of running with friends followed by coffee and good conversation in the warmth at the finish line.

So, as there must be others like me, I have decided to set up a free Ealing run club in January to do just that. January is a tough and bleak time of year for many so I’ve teamed up with Revival Cafe in South Ealing to make the start of the year that little bit better. We’ll start and finish at Revival and everyone is welcome to stay for coffee and chats after in the warmth.

It’s also Veganuary, making it a perfect time to try all of the delightful pastries and sandwiches Revival have to offer. Coming from someone who has been vegan for 10 years… they are some of the best I’ve ever tasted!

Join me on the first 3 Sundays in January (7th, 14th and 21st) at 9.15am for a relaxed 3-5k run. No expectations, no judgement and definitely no ego. Let’s make winter running a bit more bearable and a whole lot tastier.
